Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday distributed scooters to 15 college girls under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana, aiming to promote women’s empowerment and self-reliance. The event was held at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhaban as part of the scheme announced by Union Health Minister and BJP National President J P Nadda in a recent public meeting.

In the first phase, fifteen meritorious girl students from various government-run colleges received scooter keys, registration papers, and helmets from the Chief Minister. Initially, the plan was to distribute scooters to 140 girls who passed their Class 12 exams and enrolled in colleges. Dr. Saha assured that all eligible students would benefit from this initiative.

“This is just the beginning. Our priority is to empower the women of Tripura, and we will continue launching such welfare programs,” the Chief Minister stated.
