In Bihar, seven new ministers who were inducted into the Nitish Kumar-led cabinet have been allocated their portfolios. Sanjay Saraogi will be the new Revenue and Land Reforms minister.

Dr Sunil Kumar will look after the Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Jibesh Kumar will hold the charge of the Urban Development and Housing department. Four new ministers have been also allocated crucial departments.

Raju Kumar Singh will hold Tourism and Moti Lal Prasad will be the new minister of Arts, Culture and Youth department. Disaster Management and Information and Technology portfolios have been also reshuffled.

Vijay Kumar Mandal will look after Disaster Management and Krishna Kumar Mantu will hold the charge of Information and Technology minister. Due to new inductions in the Cabinet, the portfolios of several existing ministers have been also changed.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha will look after Agriculture with an additional charge of Mining and Geology ( खान और भूतत्व ) Senior minister in the cabinet Dr Prem Kumar will only hold a single portfolio of Co-operative. Health Minister Mangal Pandey has been given additional charge of the Law department. 

Nitish Mishra will only discharge duty as the minister of the Industry Department. All the existing portfolios of BJP quota minister Nitin Nabin have been changed, now he will look after the new Department of Road Construction. Son of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Santosh Kumar Suman will look after only Minor Irrigation Resources ( लघु जल संसाधन विभाग ) department.
