Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that Indian youth are among the most intelligent and powerful in the world and have the capability to solve major global challenges. He was speaking at the 26th Convocation Ceremony of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in Pune today.
Mr Birla emphasized that Indian youth should follow democratic values. He also acknowledged Pune’s significant contribution to the nation’s development, calling it the land of social reformers.
During the ceremony, degrees and diplomas were conferred upon 6,815 students, including 42 gold medals and 71 Ph.D. degrees.
