Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the North Eastern Inter-University ‘Taranga Utsav-2025’ this evening at the ICFAI University campus. Organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and ICFAI University, the festival brought together over 800 students from 22 universities across India.
In his address, the Governor emphasized the transformative power of education, urging students to embrace knowledge as a tool to thrive in the ever-evolving global landscape. Highlighting the role of modern technology, he encouraged students to integrate it into their studies while fostering an environment of discipline, values, and respect for elders.
The Governor also linked students’ contributions to India’s long-term vision, stating, “Students are the driving force in realizing the Prime Minister’s dream of a developed India by 2047.” He urged the youth to continue their efforts toward this shared national goal.
The inaugural ceremony began with a welcome address by ICFAI University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Biplob Halder. Distinguished speakers included Dr. Bala Lakhendra, Associate Professor at Banaras Hindu University, and Dr. Mamat Rani Agarwal, Additional Secretary of AIU.
The vibrant Taranga Utsav will run until January 31, providing students with a platform to exchange ideas and celebrate cultural diversity.
