In Punjab, Hindu College, the alma mater of the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in Amritsar, paid tributes to its illustrious student. Teachers, students and alumani along with political leaders presented floral tributes to the departed soul. Hindu College Principal Sanjay Khanna announced to make a memorial of Dr. Manmohan Singh in the college premises. Dr. Manmohan Singh did his BA Honours (Economics) from this college from 1951 to 1953.
