Under the initiative of the Department of Elementary Education, tree plantation and discussion meetings were held at Sonamura Town Madrasa and Daodharani Madrasa. The programme was aided by Bidhan Shishu Udyan Medha Anwesha Sepahijala district committee. First the trees were planted with the students of Sonamura Town Madrasah.
Madrasa president Jasimuddin, teacher Abdul Haque and Debaprasad Bhattacharya and Kitchen Garden consultant Manoj Roy of the Department of Elementary Education were present at the plantation.
Roy and Bhattacharya on behalf of the Department of Elementary Education spoke about the benefits of tree planting in the Madrasa. A discussion meeting was also held in the open field after planting flowers and fruits with the students of Daodharani Madrasa.
Zakir Hussain, Acting Teacher of the Madrasa and others were present on the occasion. Similar event was also held at Bishalgarh Madrasa and Baranarayan Madrasa last week.
