Biplab Kumar Deb, the BJP candidate for the West Tripura Parliamentary Constituency, continued his campaign in Agartala with a spirited motorbike rally that received an enthusiastic response from voters in Banamalipur and Khayerpur constituencies.

During the rally, Deb took a swipe at former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s endorsement of the Congress candidate, Ashis Kumar Saha, ridiculing the Communist party’s declining influence in Tripura. Deb highlighted the paradox of a Communist leader like Sarkar urging support for the Congress, suggesting that this could spell the end of the Communist party in the state.

“In this situation the people of this state will now decide whom they would vote for in this upcoming Lok Sabha election,” Deb said, claiming that the BJP would win in the both the West and East parliamentary seats in this election. Deb’s campaign began with the BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and party’s yuva morcha leaders and workers accompanying him. A motorbike rally was organised in both Banamalipur and Khayerpur constituencies. MLA Ratan Chakraborty also accompanied Deb in his campaign.

Deb emphasized that it is now up to the people of Tripura to decide whom they will support in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, expressing confidence in the BJP’s ability to secure victories in both the West and East parliamentary seats.

Later, addressing a party gathering in Khayerpur, Deb criticized both the CPI(M) and Congress in Tripura, alleging that terror tactics and violence were rampant under the rule of the Left front government. He credited the BJP’s ascension to power in 2018 for rescuing Tripura from the Communist party’s destructive governance, which he claimed had instigated violence and sowed fear across the state.
