Former Chief Minister and BJP’s candidate for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat, Biplab Kumar Deb, embarked on an energetic campaign trail, addressing multiple gatherings across Mandwai, Khumukwng, Belonia, Shantirbazar, and Rajnagar.

The events drew substantial crowds, particularly from indigenous communities and women, as Deb fervently rallied support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

In his speeches, Deb elucidated the manifold welfare initiatives undertaken by the incumbent government, particularly emphasizing schemes aimed at uplifting tribal regions and empowering women.

Deb, along with TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman and other prominent figures, emphasised the developmental progress made during the BJP rule.

Speaking at the Belonia programme, Deb urged party volunteers to engage with every household in their respective areas, regardless of their political affiliations. He stressed the importance of respectfully presenting the achievements of the Modi government and soliciting votes for the BJP candidate without exerting undue pressure on dissenting voices.

“Our objective is to secure a resounding victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party in both Lok Sabha seats from Tripura, thereby bolstering Narendra Modiji’s tenure as Prime Minister,” asserted Deb, expressing confidence in the BJP’s electoral prospects with a vision of securing over 400 seats.

Meanwhile, in a significant development, 524 voters hailing from 122 families pledged their allegiance to the BJP during the Rajnagar meeting. The event witnessed the presence of BJP South District president Shankar Roy, Mandal president Goutam Sarkar, and Zilla Parishad vice president Bibhishan Das, underscoring the growing momentum behind the party’s campaign.
