Two NLFT cadres – Kshitish Debbarma alias Kwkhwi of Ichacherra village and Swapan Debbarma alias Bathar of Golakbari village under Champahour police station in Khowai district surrendered before the Border Security Force on Saturday..
Among them, Kshitish joined the NLFT Biswamohan group in 2019 and he has been listed as an active cadre of NLFT as per the list published by the Tripura Government.
The other insurgent Swapan Debbarma joined the militant outfit in 2020 and has been continuing as its active member.
Total 31 Insurgents of NLFT have surrendered before BSF Tripura, which includes 23 Cadres who surrendered in between the Year 2017 to 2020 and six others surrendered during last year.
While announcing the surrender of the two insurgents, IG BSF Tripura Frontier- Sushant Kumar Nath appealed to the youths so that they don’t go to the path of violence.
