
Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu conducted a comprehensive two-day tour of North Tripura district, engaging in a series of visits and interactions to assess various aspects of the region. On Friday, the Governor visited the Border Out Post (BOP) at Yakubnagar in Dharmanagar sub-division, where he had the opportunity to interact with Border Security Force (BSF) jawans and officials.
Accompanied by BSF DIG M P Singh and 139 Battalion Commander A K Guleria, Governor Nallu received a guard of honor at the BOP. The BSF officers briefed him about their crucial role in safeguarding the border, and various weapons utilized by the force were displayed during the visit.
Earlier in the day, the Governor visited Dharmanagar Super Market, engaging with local businessmen and understanding the dynamics of the local market. Accompanied by officials including the DM of North Tripura district Debapriya Bardhan and Chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council Pradyut Dey Sarkar, Governor Nallu also explored an Agar tree processing center at Uttar Fulbari Gram Panchayet.
During his visit to the district, Governor Nallu visited the Brajendranagar Primary Health Center in Kadamtala Block, gaining insights into the services provided by the health center. He also inspected an innovative under-construction water supply plant at Dhubipara in the block.
The Governor took part in a program on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ at Satsang High School in Ranibari area, where he distributed lease lands and certificates to tea plantation workers. Additionally, he interacted with women members of various self-help groups, visited an exhibition showcasing SHGs’ products, and explored the possibility of converting an agar processing center into a tourist destination.

The tour included meetings with administrative officials, inspections of key projects, and interactions with citizens to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the region’s challenges and opportunities.
