113 voters from 35 families join BJP in Khowai ahead of TTAADC elections, boosting party strength. State president Rajib Bhattacharjee highlights Modi’s Viksit Bharat vision and aims for a clean sweep of 28 ADC seats.
In a political development ahead of the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, a total of 113 voters from 35 families formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at its Khowai district office on Sunday. The move is being seen as a strategic boost for the party’s grassroots strength in the region.
The induction programme was attended by state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, who personally welcomed the new members into the party fold. The joining group was led by IPFT Khowai East district organising secretary Santush Debbarma, along with key division members Sarat Debbarma and Rabindra Debbarma.
Addressing the gathering, Bhattacharjee emphasized that the new entrants have shown strong confidence in the developmental vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly the concept of “Viksit Bharat.” He also highlighted the efforts of Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha in striving toward a “Viksit Tripura.”
He further asserted that the BJP’s “triple-engine government”—referring to coordination between the central, state, and local governance—would significantly accelerate development in ADC areas. According to him, infrastructure growth, welfare schemes, and inclusive governance remain top priorities for the party in tribal regions.
Calling upon voters to rally behind BJP candidates in the upcoming elections, Bhattacharjee urged citizens to actively participate in shaping a progressive and developed Tripura. He expressed confidence that the party would secure all 28 seats in the TTAADC elections scheduled for April 12, reinforcing BJP’s dominance in the region.

Political observers view this mass joining as a reflection of shifting loyalties and growing support for BJP in Khowai district. With elections approaching, such developments are likely to play a crucial role in influencing voter sentiment across the tribal council areas.
