Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar asserted that, except for the chair, no one can interfere with what happens inside Parliament. Addressing the orientation program for newly elected and nominated Members of the Rajya Sabha in New Delhi on Saturday, Mr. Dhankhar stated that Parliament is supreme regarding its procedures and proceedings. He noted that any proceedings in the House and in Parliament are beyond review by the executive or any other authority.
Mr. Dhankhar said that from the beginning, members of Parliament have conducted themselves and acted in support of the people. He added that, at all times, they have contributed to the growth of the nation.
