VP congratulates Narender and Gulveer winning medals in Commonwealth Games

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan has congratulated Narender Berwal on winning the Silver Medal in the Men’s plus 90 kilogram boxing event at the Commonwealth Games. He also congratulated Gulveer Singh on securing the Bronze Medal in the Men’s 5 thousand meter event. In a social media post, the Vice President said that Gulveer Singh’s historic feat of becoming the first Indian athlete to win medals in both the men’s 5 thousand meter and 10 thousand meter events at a single Commonwealth Games edition makes this achievement even more special. He noted that these outstanding achievements are a testament to their dedication, perseverance and sporting excellence. Mr Radhakrishnan wished them continued success and many more laurels for the nation.
