US President Joe Biden has condemned the International Criminal Court (ICC’s) issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, deeming them outrageous.
Biden stated, Whatever the ICC might imply, there is no equivalence against Israel. He further said US will always stand with Israel against threats to its security. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also condemned a decision by the ICC. He said the ICC was falsely accusing them of deliberately targeting civilians. Both Israel and Hamas reject the allegations made by the ICC. However, France and Norway have backed the ICC’s action.
Earlier, International Criminal Court had issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence chief Yoav Gallant, as well as a Hamas leader, Ibrahim Al-Masri, for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.
