US stocks closed sharply lower on Wednesday as Treasury yields soared on concerns that the country’s federal debt would swell if Congress passed President Donald Trump’s proposed tax-cut bill. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 1.91 percent, S&P 500 lost 1.61 percent, and Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.41 percent.
