The upper limit for state subsidies under MSME has been increased to Rs. 1 crore with the new Industrial Policy being announced by the state government recently.
Besides, the government also announced a 50 percent subsidy for movement of secondary raw materials from outside the state for manufacturing in the state, according to a tweet from Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
“Massive changes have been made in Industrial policy to increase investment in the state. To Avail state subsidies for MSME upper limit increased to Rs 1 Crore. To give a boost to manufacturing in the state 50% subsidy on movement of secondary raw material from outside the state,” Deb tweeted on Friday.
The new policy would promote Made-in- Tripura initiative with reimbursement of fees for certifications.
“To boost the Made in #Tripura initiative, 100% reimbursement of Fees/charges for certifications Such as ISO, BIS etc will be given. It will help the state to march ahead on the path of #Atmanirbharta and will open new avenues of economic development,” Deb wrote in a separate tweet.
The state government launched the new policy “Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentive Scheme (TIIPIS), 2022” for the next 5 years on April 20 last.
