Union Minister and senior BJP leader Piyush Goyal demanded an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and DMK Chief M.K Stalin, over Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a social media post, Mr Goyal alleged that Congress and DMK have stooped to a new low by insulting the Prime Minister, who has been democratically elected by the people of India. Mr Goyal further alleged that Congress and DMK have humiliated 140 crore Indians, including eight crore Tamil citizens, with the statement. He added that such personal attacks against the Prime Minister will not reverse Congress’ and DMK’s electoral fortunes, which, he claimed, have already been sealed by the anger of the people who have suffered under their misrule.
