Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has refuted the claim of Congress that the Government has not done anything for Other Backwards Castes (OBCs).
Talking to reporters outside Parliament today, Mr. Pradhan informed that the government has not just promised inclusiveness, but has delivered it. He added that the government has increased sanctioned posts to 18 thousand 951 in 2025 and reduced vacancies from 37 percent to 25.80 percent. Mr. Pradhan said that over 8150 teaching positions have been filled, including 13 percent SC, 6.6 percent ST and 22.8 percent OBC candidates.
Mr. Pradhan said that the Modi government has transformed the inclusiveness landscape. The Union Education Minister said Modi government also brought the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teacher’s Cadre) Act, 2019. He added that under the NDA government, reservation is a policy and commitment, and not mere ‘tokenism’.
