The hashtag #TwitterLogo started trending since Monday when the logo of the popular microblogging site was replaced with the doge meme of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

Till the change was made, Twitter had the iconic blue bird logo which has been a part of the social media platform for several years.

Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, reacted to the development by posting an old conversation where he had promised to change the logo and wrote: As promised.

Incidentally, the change in the Twitter logo is only visible on the web version of the microblogging platform.

The official account for cryptocurrency exchange Binance said: Twitter looking a little different.

Its unclear what prompted the change. However, the dogecoin logo appeared just days after Musks lawyers asked a judge to dismiss a $258 billion racketeering lawsuit accusing the billionaire of running a pyramid scheme to boost the digital currencys value, reports New York Post.

The newspaper reported that the change of the logo has prompted the cryptocurrency to soar as much as 30%.
