Tripura University recently inaugurated a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation, on Entrepreneurship Development. The event commenced on Wednesday and is slated to continue until June 2. The Centre, which is sponsored by the North Eastern Council, Shillong, and implemented by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, aims to foster entrepreneurial skills among educators and students alike.
Distinguished guests graced the inaugural function, including Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Senior Consultant at IIE, Guwahati, who served as the Guest of Honour.Prof. Badal Kumar Datta, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Prof.Salim Shah, Coordinator and Centre Head of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation have attended in the program. Prof. Sukhendu Debbarma, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Faculty of Music and Fine Arts has precided over the inaugural function.
The FDP has drawn participation from 28 faculty members representing various higher educational institutes across West Tripura. Over the course of the programme, participants will delve into the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship, with a focus on crafting business models and plans. Additionally, strategies for effectively motivating students will be explored, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship education.
The Conference Hall at the New Guest House, Tripura University, serves as the venue for this enriching programme. Prof. Salim Shah holds the position of Coordinator, while Dr. Manish Das is the Joint Coordinator, overseeing the smooth execution of the FDP.
The event marks a significant step towards fostering a culture of entrepreneurship within the academic community, equipping educators with the tools and knowledge to inspire the next generation of innovators and business leaders.
