Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday appreciated the role of TSR troops in maintaining the law and order situation and said that TSR’s role in restoring peace in Tripura could never be avoided.
Deb attended a Sainik Sanmelan at the headquarters of TSR 13th Battalion at Kanchanpur this morning. The Chief Minister also visited the blood donation camp organized by the TSR jawans
At the Sainik Sammelan, the Chief Minister said “Tripura is now walking in the path of development. Emphasis is being laid in development of remote areas of the state. Health services are being extended towards the people living in villages, the prime minister Awas Yojana is ensuring housing for all, several initiatives have been undertaken to make sure that people get basic services like electricity, potable water etc uninterrupted”.
The Chief Minister said that earlier there was no employment system for women in TSR. Now women are getting job opportunities in TSR.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister conveyed his love and greetings to the soldiers on the occasion of Buisu, Bihu, Biju, Sankranti and Bengali New Year. The Chief Minister wished a bright future to the soldiers.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by District Magistrate of North Tripura District Nagesh Kumar B, Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar K, DIG KB Marak, Kanchanpur SDM Subhash Acharjee and others during his visit to TSR 13th Battalion Headquarters. 32 soldiers donated blood at the blood donation camp at the TSR headquarters.
