A TSR jawan Asish Bose died in South Tripura when a landslide came crashing on him.
The 2nd Battalion TSR jawan had gone to his home in Uttar Bharatchandranagar in Belonia on leave as his family members were stranded due to flood.
However, from Wednesday night he was reported missing and at last as search operation was launched it was traced that the jawan was buried under huge chunks of earth that had slipped. His lifeless body was recovered on Thursday noon.
It is not yet clear as to how the mishap took place, but some unverified reports were in circulation that he died while saving someone else.
The deceased jawan was also sports man and attached with handball team.
A pall of gloom has descended in the entire area at the tragic death of the TSR jawan.
