Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today said that there has been a radical change in the health services of the state in a very short time.

“There has been a radical change in the health services of the state in a very short time. Now, the people can take advantage of improved health services in the state,” said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha after inaugurating the 20th annual conference of the Tripura Retired Doctors Association at the TB Association Hall in Agartala today.

Inaugurating the conference, Dr. Saha said that doctors can continue working for the benefit of people and society until the last day of their lives.

“The responsibility of doctors in providing health services to people and ensuring the welfare of society is unceasing. Therefore, the status of doctors is very high among the people. Doctors have also contributed significantly to laying the foundation of improved health services in the state. The way the doctors of the state came forward with a service mentality for the welfare of people during the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating floods of last August will always be memorable,” he said.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that this service-oriented mindset of doctors would continue in the future as well.

At the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the developments in the state’s health services.
He said that the establishment of a dental college in the state, super specialty services at AGMC, mother and child care units at GBP Hospital, and trauma centers in various districts have brought a new dimension to healthcare services.
