In a remarkable achievement, the Tripura government has been honored with the prestigious ‘Platinum Certificate’ by the Ministry of Rural Development and Land Records of the Government of India. The recognition comes as a result of the state’s outstanding work and successful implementation of various components of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme.

The ‘Platinum Certificate’ has been conferred upon Tripura for its commendable efforts in several key areas, including the computerization of land records, digitization of cadastral maps/FMBs (Field Measurement Books), linkage of Records of Rights (ROR) with cadastral maps, computerization of registration processes, and the establishment of a modern record room.

This recognition highlights the state’s success in adopting modern technology to streamline and improve land governance, ensuring transparent and efficient management of land records. Tripura has not only achieved success in individual districts but has accomplished cent percent saturation in all eight districts of the state.

The districts that have achieved cent percent success in these areas are Dhalai, Gomati, Khowai, Sepahijala, South Tripura, Unakoti, and West Tripura, showcasing the comprehensive and widespread impact of the state’s digitization efforts.

Ajay Tirkey, Secretary in the Department of Land Records, expressed admiration for Tripura’s exceptional efforts, acknowledging the state’s dedication and commitment to the implementation of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme.

The ‘Platinum Certificate’ is a symbol of Tripura’s dedication to good governance and the adoption of advanced technology to enhance public services and administrative efficiency. The state government has extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Union Government for bestowing this prestigious recognition on Tripura, emphasizing the collaborative efforts in achieving excellence in land governance.

Tripura stands proud among 75 other top-achieving districts from different states across the country, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards digitization and modernization in the field of land records management. This recognition is not only an accolade for the state but also a testament to the transformative power of technology in advancing governance and public service delivery.
