Tripura Govt has launched a special 10-day training programme for 27 newly recruited TCS officers at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, aiming to strengthen administrative excellence, ethical leadership, transparency, digital governance and citizen-centric public service under Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s leadership.

The Tripura Government has launched a special 10-day customised training programme for 27 newly recruited Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers at the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. The programme, introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, marks the first time that newly appointed TCS officers from Tripura have been sent to India’s premier civil services training institution for a specially designed course.

The initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to building a professional, transparent and citizen-focused administrative system capable of addressing the evolving challenges of governance. By exposing the officers to world-class training and best administrative practices, the government aims to equip them with the skills and knowledge required to serve the people of Tripura effectively.

The inaugural session of the programme was chaired by LBSNAA Director and senior Tripura cadre IAS officer Sriram Taranikanti. Congratulating the newly recruited officers, he urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, transparency and compassion throughout their careers. He emphasised that the responsibilities of a civil servant extend beyond routine administration, requiring ethical leadership, innovation, empathy and an unwavering commitment to public welfare.

Deputy Director Deep Jagdip welcomed the participants and expressed confidence that the training would prepare them to meet the demands of modern governance. Joint Director Priya Mishra presented an overview of the comprehensive course structure, which includes modules on public policy, district administration, ethics, leadership, financial management, disaster management, digital governance, good governance practices, case studies, field learning and interactive sessions with experienced administrators and faculty members.

Adding a cultural touch to the programme, the trainee officers presented Director Sriram Taranikanti with a replica of the sacred Mata Tripuraswari Temple along with several iconic products representing Tripura’s rich heritage. These included the GI-tagged Matabari Pera, Tripura’s organic scented lemon and the state’s aromatic Kalikhasa rice, symbolising the cultural and agricultural identity of the state.

The participating officers described the programme as a unique opportunity to learn from one of the country’s finest institutions dedicated to public administration. They expressed sincere gratitude to the Tripura Government and LBSNAA for providing this platform and pledged to apply the knowledge, values and administrative practices gained during the training in delivering efficient, transparent and citizen-centric governance across the state.
