Puhabi Chakraborty, a student of class 10 KV NIT Agartala has been awarded as the winner for the Intel Responsible AI for youth program organized by the Ministry of IT, Government of India and National E-governance division. Previously she was selected as the top 100 ideas all over India and was the only one from the state of Tripura.
Puhabi’s project ‘AthleteX: For the Atmanirbhar Athlete’ got her in the top 60 and eventually in the top 20 before being declared as a winner of the competition. Puhabi’s creation ‘AtheleteX’ is an app that makes athletes perform better physically and mentally by performing injury detection scans to accurately detect injuries and performs metal health scanning using PSQ questionnaire and analysis them based on deep learning, AI, Artificial Neural Networks and other Machine learning tools where applicable. Her project was one of the hardest tasks to accomplish due to its complicated nature of mixing Deep learning, Artificial Neural Networking and Convolutional Neural Networks but she did it with ease and received much appreciation and applause from her mentors at Intel and the judges in the final showcase.
Puhabi is currently working on an internship at California University, USA where she is working towards creating software to control a spirometer that helps in providing an adequate amount of oxygen and gas mixtures to COVID patients and eases their difficulty in breathing.
