Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury reviews final preparations for the Unity Promo Fest 2025 finale featuring Jubin Nautiyal at Vivekananda Maidan, ensuring top-tier security, massive crowd management, and seamless execution for one of Tripura’s biggest cultural events.
The state of Tripura is gearing up for one of its most awaited cultural celebrations as the finale of the Unity Promo Fest 2025 is set to unfold on December 12 at Vivekananda Maidan. Organized by Tripura Tourism, the grand closing event will be headlined by acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal, whose presence has already created tremendous excitement among the people of the state.
Public enthusiasm surrounding the event has reached extraordinary levels, with demand for entry passes far exceeding the available number. Officials anticipate a record-breaking turnout, making this one of the biggest cultural gatherings Tripura has witnessed in recent years.
To ensure the event’s success and smooth execution, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited Vivekananda Maidan on Thursday to personally review final-stage preparations. Accompanied by senior administrative officers and senior officials of the tourism department, the Minister carried out detailed inspections of the venue layout, technical arrangements, and layered security mechanisms being put in place.
Speaking to the media during his visit, Chowdhury assured that preparations are in their last and most critical phase, with every department working in perfect coordination. He highlighted that special security measures have been implemented based on past experiences from large-scale public events to ensure there is no disruption to law and order.
According to the Minister, the police department has designed an extensive crowd-management plan specifically tailored for the massive turnout expected at the Jubin Nautiyal concert. The arrangements include advanced CCTV surveillance, deployment of a large number of volunteers, scout guides, civil-dress police personnel, and dedicated teams from the tourism department operating on round-the-clock monitoring duty.
Traffic police have been given detailed instructions to handle crowd movement both before and after the event. Officials emphasized that special attention has been given to dispersal management following the concert, a phase where most congestion and incidents typically occur. The goal is to ensure that thousands of attendees can exit the venue safely, quickly, and without inconvenience.
Chowdhury appealed to citizens to cooperate fully with authorities, mentioning that such large-scale cultural events can only be successful if there is mutual support between organizers and the public. He urged everyone to uphold the festive spirit, avoid any behavior that might cause disruption, and help maintain the joyful environment the festival aims to create.
The Minister also emphasized that the month-long Unity Promo Fest, which has been held across various parts of the state, has so far been conducted peacefully and harmoniously. He appealed to everyone to maintain the same environment during the finale, stating that the festival is a celebration of joy, unity, and the cultural vibrance of Tripura. He reiterated that the event must not be overshadowed by any untoward incident that could turn celebration into distress.
Following the on-site inspection, Chowdhury chaired a crucial final preparatory meeting at the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation office located at Swetmahal, Palace Compound. The meeting was attended by the Tourism Secretary, the Managing Director, officials from multiple departments, and representatives from various administrative wings. The objective of the meeting was to finalize last-minute arrangements and ensure all logistical, technical, and security aspects were aligned perfectly.
In another preparatory session earlier in the day, the Minister also met with the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, council members, and corporators at the municipal conference hall to discuss municipal-level support services, including sanitation, lighting, crowd flow, parking zones, and emergency response management.
With meticulous planning, high-level coordination, and statewide excitement, the Unity Promo Fest 2025 finale is poised to become a historic cultural milestone for Tripura. The grand musical evening featuring Jubin Nautiyal is expected to attract thousands of people and set new benchmarks in public participation, festive celebration, and tourism vibrancy in the state.
