Tripura Tourism prepares for a record-breaking Jubin Nautiyal concert on Dec 12 at Agartala’s Swami Vivekananda Maidan. CM Manik Saha and Sourav Ganguly to attend, with strong security and 40,000 passes issued for this grand cultural event.

The final leg of the much-anticipated Unity Promo Fest 2025 is set to captivate the city with a grand musical evening featuring renowned singer Jubin Nautiyal on December 12 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced on Wednesday that all arrangements have been meticulously made to ensure a seamless and record-breaking event.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Geetanjali Tourism Guest House, Minister Chowdhury expressed confidence that the event would surpass previous editions in scale and participation. “We have printed around 40,000 passes, matching the capacity of the venue. This year’s event promises to break all earlier records,” he said. The minister appealed to the public to reach the venue by 5 PM to avoid last-minute rush and to cooperate with authorities for smooth conduct.

Tripura’s Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and the state’s Tourism Brand Ambassador, legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly, are slated to attend the event. Both dignitaries will address the audience, highlighting the state’s vibrant cultural heritage and the importance of tourism in Tripura’s growth.

Minister Chowdhury further elaborated on the arrangements, mentioning the issuance of three types of passes to regulate entry and manage crowd flow effectively. VVIP passes (Orange) grant access through Gate 1, VIP passes (Green) through Gate 2, and General passes (Pink) through Gate 3. Strict “No Entry” zones will be enforced at several sensitive locations to ensure security and smooth movement.

In addition to Jubin Nautiyal’s performance, local artists will showcase Tripura’s rich cultural traditions, providing a unique blend of entertainment and heritage celebration. This fusion aims to highlight the diversity and talent of the state’s artistic community.

Significantly, this year’s Unity Promo Fest also features a robust business-to-business (B2B) segment with 122 tour operators from across India and neighboring countries including Thailand, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Malaysia. This international participation underscores Tripura’s rising prominence as a tourism hub in Northeast India.

Sushanta Chowdhury proudly noted that Tripura ranks second in foreign tourist footfall in the Northeast region, only behind Sikkim. “Our efforts to boost tourism are yielding great results, and events like this further strengthen Tripura’s position on the tourism map,” he said.

Security has been a top priority for the organizing committee. The Inspector General of Law and Order confirmed that all previous events of the Unity Promo Fest have been conducted peacefully, reflecting effective coordination among law enforcement agencies. For the upcoming Jubin Nautiyal concert, eight gates will be established—one for VVIPs, two for VIPs, and five for the general public. Attendees are urged to maintain discipline and cooperate with the security personnel.

Tripura Tourism Director Prashant Badal Negi, SP West Namit Pathak, and SP Traffic Kanta Jangir were also present at the press briefing, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring a safe and successful event.
