Tripura Pradesh Congress will stage a two-hour symbolic national highway blockade on July 23, protesting repeated competitive examination paper leaks. The party demands Central intervention, alleging recurring question paper leak incidents have jeopardized the future of thousands of students and job aspirants nationwide.

The Tripura Pradesh Congress has announced a two-hour symbolic blockade of alternative national highways at four locations across the state on July 23 to protest against the recurring incidents of question paper leaks in competitive examinations. The party said the demonstration aims to draw attention to the growing concerns of students and job aspirants whose careers have been affected by repeated examination irregularities.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan in Agartala on Tuesday. Senior Congress leader and All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Bijendra Prasad Singh said the agitation was being organized to demand stricter action against those responsible for examination paper leaks and to seek immediate intervention from the Central Government.

Addressing reporters, Singh alleged that 152 question paper leak incidents had occurred across the country over the past 12 years. According to him, many of these incidents were reported from states governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He claimed that repeated examination irregularities have severely affected the future of lakhs of students and competitive examination aspirants who invest years of hard work and preparation.

The Congress leader further alleged that the Central Government has failed to give adequate importance to the issue despite repeated demands from opposition parties and student organizations. He said the Congress has consistently raised the matter both inside Parliament and through public campaigns across the country.

Singh also stated that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has extended support to students and unemployed youths affected by examination paper leaks. According to him, the Congress leadership has appointed coordinators in various states to strengthen awareness campaigns and mobilize public support on the issue.

The proposed blockade in Tripura is expected to be held simultaneously at four alternative national highway locations for two hours. The party clarified that the protest is symbolic and is intended to highlight the demand for transparent, fair, and corruption-free recruitment and examination processes.

Congress leaders said repeated paper leak incidents have eroded public confidence in competitive examinations and recruitment systems. They urged the authorities to implement stronger safeguards, conduct thorough investigations, and ensure strict punishment for those involved in leaking examination papers.
