Tripura BJP announced a major organisational reshuffle under state president Abhishek Debroy with approval from party high command. Arindam Deb was appointed Yuva Morcha president, while several new office bearers and Morcha presidents were named to strengthen the party’s state organisation.
The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced a significant reshuffle of its state organisational structure, marking the first major reconstitution of the party’s leadership after Abhishek Debroy assumed charge as the state president. The new committee received approval from the party’s high command, represented by BJP leader Nitin Nabin.
The organisational overhaul includes appointments to key positions in the state committee and various party morchas, aimed at strengthening the BJP’s grassroots network and organisational functioning ahead of future political activities.
One of the most notable appointments is that of Arindam Deb, who has been named the new president of the BJP Yuva Morcha in Tripura. Previously serving as the party’s social media in-charge, Arindam Deb replaces MLA Sushanta Deb in the youth wing’s top position.
Another significant change sees the party’s IT in-charge, Chandan Debnath, elevated to the post of state general secretary. Former MLA and outgoing Mahila Morcha president Mimi Majumder has been appointed as a state secretary, while Mousumi Das has taken over as the new president of the BJP Mahila Morcha.
The newly constituted state committee includes six vice-presidents—Tapas Bhattacharyya, Amit Rakshit, Ratan Ghosh, Ajanta Bhattacharjee, Tapas Majumder and Uttara Debbary. The party has appointed Bhagaban Das, Bipin Debbarma and Chandan Debnath as its three state general secretaries.
The list of state secretaries comprises Bhumikananda Reang, Kamal Dey, Nabadal Banik, Mimi Majumder, Malina Debnath and Rathindra Jamatia. Meanwhile, Nagadhiraj Dutta has been entrusted with the responsibility of treasurer, M.K. Nath has been appointed joint treasurer, and Mihir Sarkar will serve as the office secretary.
The BJP also announced the presidents of its various frontal organisations. Alongside Arindam Deb heading the Yuva Morcha, Mousumi Das will lead the Mahila Morcha, Abhijit Debbarma has been appointed president of the ST Morcha, Bapi Das will head the SC Morcha, Sukanta Ghosh has been named president of the OBC Morcha, Pradip Baran Roy will lead the Kisan Morcha, and Billal Mia has been entrusted with the Minority Morcha.
Following the announcement, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, cabinet ministers and senior BJP leaders congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and Morcha presidents. Party leaders expressed confidence that the restructured organisation would further strengthen the BJP’s presence across Tripura and enhance coordination between the party’s state leadership and grassroots workers.

The reshuffle is being viewed as an important organisational exercise aimed at reinforcing the party’s internal structure and preparing it for upcoming political and organisational responsibilities across the state.
