Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha chaired the state-level DISHA Committee meeting, reviewing Centrally Sponsored Schemes, development programmes, project implementation, inter-departmental coordination and grassroots service delivery, while stressing timely completion, regular monitoring and effective delivery of government benefits to people across Tripura.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired the state-level meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring (DISHA) Committee at the Secretariat on Tuesday, reviewing the progress of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and development programmes being implemented across the state.
The meeting focused on strengthening the implementation of government schemes, ensuring timely completion of development projects and improving coordination among different departments. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of ensuring that the benefits of government initiatives reach eligible beneficiaries, particularly people living in remote and rural areas.
During the meeting, Dr. Saha reviewed the current status of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and development programmes. Officials from the concerned departments presented updates on the progress of projects, implementation-related issues and challenges encountered during the execution of different schemes.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for regular monitoring of development projects so that delays can be identified and addressed promptly. He also called for stronger inter-departmental coordination to ensure that development programmes are implemented efficiently and within stipulated timelines.
Dr. Saha directed the officials concerned to prepare and follow time-bound action plans for ongoing projects. He underlined that effective coordination between departments is essential for ensuring that projects do not face unnecessary delays and that resources are utilized properly.
Special emphasis was also placed on the delivery of government schemes and services to eligible beneficiaries. The Chief Minister stressed that people should receive the benefits of various Central government schemes without unnecessary delays or difficulties. He called upon officials to ensure effective implementation at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to accelerating development across Tripura and improving public service delivery. He said that timely implementation of development programmes and proper monitoring would remain important priorities for ensuring that the benefits of government initiatives reach people across the state.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of taking development activities forward through coordinated efforts among government departments and other implementing agencies. Dr. Saha urged officials to maintain close coordination and address implementation-related concerns promptly.
He reaffirmed that strengthening development activities and improving service delivery would remain central to the government’s efforts. The focus, he said, should remain on translating government schemes and development programmes into tangible benefits for people at the grassroots level.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman, East Tripura MP Kriti Singh Debbarma, several MLAs, including Birajit Sinha, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha and senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
The state-level DISHA Committee meeting concluded with an emphasis on coordinated action, regular monitoring, timely project completion and ensuring that the benefits of Centrally Sponsored Schemes effectively reach the people of Tripura.
