The written examinations for the Higher Secondary and Madrasa Fazil Kala and Fazil Theology, conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) for the 2025 academic year, commenced on Monday across the state. The exams are being held at 60 centers, with 95 venues accommodating thousands of students.

TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury inspected multiple examination centers in Agartala on the first day, reviewing essential facilities such as electricity, drinking water, and seating arrangements to ensure a smooth examination process.

Addressing the media, Dr. Gan Chowdhury confirmed that the first day of exams proceeded peacefully, with no reports of irregularities. The English examination was conducted smoothly in all centers, with 21,506 candidates appearing. Special provisions were made for physically weak students, ensuring a hassle-free experience. He also noted that no candidates from Tripura Correctional Institutions are appearing for this year’s Higher Secondary exams.

The written examinations for Secondary and equivalent Madrasa Alim courses are set to begin on February 25. The Higher Secondary examinations will conclude on March 22, while the Secondary exams will end on March 18. Practical examinations have already been completed.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha extended his best wishes to students, reminding them of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice during the “Pariksha Pe Charcha” program, urging them to remain calm and focused. With thorough preparations in place, the examination period is expected to continue smoothly, allowing students to perform to the best of their abilities.
