Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik and MP Rebati Tripura , former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar joined the country to greet the 15th President of India Droupoadi Murmu, who happens to be first tribal woman President also of the country.

Chief Minister Dr Saha, Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik and MP Rebati Tripura were present in the swearing in ceremony of the new President on Monday at the central hall of the Parliament.

Later the Chief Minister in a tweet congratulated the President saying “Congratulations to Smt Droupadi Murmu Ji for taking oath as 15th President of India,” Dr. Saha tweeted.

Bhowmik also extended her greetings  Murmu and called it a golden day in the history of Indian democracy.

“Congratulations & best wishes to Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji on taking the oath as the 15th President of India. A golden day in the history of Indian democracy. I am sure that Smt. Murmu ji would be an outstanding President who would guide and strengthen country’s development journey,” Bhowmik tweeted.

MP Rebati Tripura, who also attended the oath taking ceremony, met former BJP chief Murli Monohar Joshi in the programme. 

Former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb wrote, “My heartiest greetings and congratulations to Smt Droupadi Murmu ji on taking oath as the 15th President of India. I am confident that her long experience in administration and public life will be helpful for the development of India.”

Meanwhile, a Janajati cultural team from Tripura was seen sharing the frame with the new President. The picture was shared by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma in a social media post on Monday.
