A devastating road accident in the Rajnagar area of Udaipur, Gomati district, on Tuesday resulted in the loss of three lives, including two women.
Deep Das (19), his mother Mani Das (40), and grandmother Purnima Karmakar (65) were returning home from an event in Pitra when their motorcycle collided head-on with a water tanker.
Tragically, Mani Das succumbed to her injuries on the spot, while Deep Das and Purnima Karmakar passed away while being rushed to the GBP hospital in Agartala. Local authorities detained the tanker involved in the collision and have initiated legal proceedings.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the urgent need for road safety measures to prevent such tragic losses in the future.
