As the impending Lok Sabha elections draw near, the Pradesh Congress in Tripura has initiated the preparations for the polls. In line with the pre-announced plan, the frontal wings of the Tripura Pradesh Congress are undergoing a restructuring process.

On Thursday, the All India Mahila Congress President, Netta D’Souza, gave her approval for an entirely new committee of the Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress. Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty continues to hold the position of president of the women’s wing, with the newly formed committee including vice-presidents from different districts.

The vice-presidents appointed are Ratna Sinha, Subhadra Chakraborty, Shuili Chakraborty, and Gouri Majumder representing West Tripura district. Anamika Debnath is the vice-president from Gomati district, Jaya Rani Majumder represents Unakoti district, and Janaki Tripura and Sabana Khan are vice-presidents from South Tripura and North Tripura, respectively.

Additionally, the All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) has listed eight new general secretaries and eight secretaries for the Pradesh committee. The restructuring also includes the appointment of nine new district presidents for all the organizational districts of the party in Tripura.

Tripura Pradesh Congress President Asish Kumar Saha congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and district presidents of Pradesh Mahila Congress. He urged them to work cohesively for the welfare of the people and the success of the party in the upcoming elections. This move reflects the party’s proactive approach in gearing up for the electoral challenges ahead.
