Kala Utsav-2024 Kicks off in Agartala, Showcasing Student Talents across Tripura

The two-day District Level Kala Utsav-2024, organized by the Office of the District Project Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, West Tripura, began on Wednesday at Maharani Tulsibati Balika Vidyalaya in Agartala.

The event was inaugurated by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA of the Ramnagar constituency, Dipak Majumder. In his opening speech, Majumder highlighted the importance of students’ participation in cultural and recreational activities alongside academics, emphasizing that such events play a significant role in shaping well-rounded individuals.

Mayor Majumder commended Kala Utsav as a vital platform for fostering talent and encouraging the holistic development of students. He noted that Tripura is increasingly recognized for its cultural heritage, with events like the Kala Utsav promoting and preserving this excellence.

West Tripura Zilla Sabhadipati Balai Goswami, Director of Elementary and Secondary Education NC Sharma, and Tulsibati School Vice-Principal Preeti Debbarma were among the notable attendees. The event features seven different cultural competitions, with students and teachers from various schools across West Tripura district participating enthusiastically. 

With a focus on nurturing diverse talents, the Kala Utsav-2024 celebrates the region’s rich cultural environment, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning experience for Tripura's youth.
