Another accused has escaped from the Udaipur District and Sessions Court. This marks the sixth such incident in recent months, sparking concerns over security lapses in the area. The escapee, Zakir Hossain alias Badsha, was arrested on June 11 under charges related to the NDPS Act and had been in jail since.
During his court appearance today, Hossain managed to break free from police custody and flee the court premises, leaving authorities scrambling. Despite launching a search operation, police have so far been unable to track him down.
This is the latest in a series of alarming escapes from both the R K Pur police station and Udaipur court premises. With six accused escaping in a short period, criticism against the local police has intensified. Residents and legal experts alike are questioning the competency of the police force, demanding an urgent investigation into these repeated security failures.
