Trinamool Congress suspects that the Congress in the state is hand in gloves with the Marxists.
“The Congress is trying to bring the misrule of the Leftists in the state and the Left Front is also keen to return to power through back door”, said TMC state leader Subal Bhowmik in his reactions to the joining of former BJP MLAs Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha in Congress.
Bhowmik took the cue from Roy Barman’s statement on Saturday joining rally that the Congress and CPM should stand side by side to defeat the BJP.
Bhowmik held a press conference and alleged that the Congress and the CPI-M are the ‘two sides of the same coin’.
“The two MLAs ( Roy Barman and Saha) joined the Congress again actually to lead the Left front to regain power in the state during the ensuing 2023 assembly poll”, he said.
“The former MLAs of the ruling BJP party are now creating confusions among the general people of the state. On Saturday the two MLAs were heard saying that the Congress and the CPI-M need to be by the side of each other when required. This proves that the Congress is now on a move to bring back the misrule of Left front in Tripura again,” Bhowmik said.
He said that people of this state had earlier witnessed the role of Congress party and its agenda of helping the Left front to misrule the state.
“Our fight under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee against BJP in Tripura will continue. We shall unseat the BJP from power during the next assembly elections,” Bhowmik said adding, “People this state never want the Left front to return power in the next elections.”
