Trinamool Congress is planning to give a boost to its political activities in the state from Sepetmeber 15 next with party’s general secretary Abhishek Banerjee leading a Padayatra in Agartala in the state.

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh flanked by Sushmita Dev, and Subal Bhowmik in a press conference here said on Friday that the Padayatra would in protest against ‘BJP sponsored violence, misrule, betrayal with people’. The other issues that the Padayatra would highlight would be ‘BJP’s anti-people policies, rise in prices of cooking gas, petrol and diesel, 10,323 teachers’ issue.

Ghosh also sought to sound confident saying that the party would form government in between March 4 and March 9, 2023.

The TMC leader said the people of Tripura already saw violence of CPI-M and are now witnessing the violence of BJP– because it’s violence vs violence. But, TMC would go for development instead of joining the competition of violence, he said.

He also stated that the BJP afraid by TMC’s rise was now attacking the CPI-M supporters so that the CPM retaliate and get space in news headlines.

He appealed to the CPI-M supporters not to fall prey to the BJP’s plot and invited them to vote for TMC in the 2023 elections. He also accused the BJP of match fixing with some CPM leaders. He was accompanied by and others.

Ghosh arrived in the state on Friday and inspected the newspaper office that came under attack in the city two days ago.
