Three Tripura children get CCRT scholarship in ‘Drama’

For the first time, three children of the State won the prestigious National Scholarship in the “Drama’ Category under the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship conducted by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). All three children are students of the drama and recitation learning Centre, “Shristi”.

Under the guidance of the Centre’s principal, Gopa Sengupta, an eminent theatre personality  and recitation artist of the state, the three children – Ranmeet Sharma, Sayantika Paul and Arkadyuti Debroy won the CCRT scholarship in the field of ‘Drama’.

Ranmeet Sharma, son of Rana Sharma and Paramita Chaudhury, is a sixth Standard student of the Holy Cross School, Agartala. He has been receiving training from his guru – Gopa Sengupta – since his childhood.  

Sayantika Paul is a ninth grade student of the Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir. She is the daughter of Sujit Paul and Manisha Paul.

Arkadyuti Debroy, son of Debjani Basu and Ranen Debroy, is an eighth grade student of the Shri Krishna Mission School.

Gopa Sengupta congratulated all three scholarship winners and wished them good luck. Parents and well-wishers of the children are also happy at their success.
