This fair is a meeting ground for people of different races. This current harmony must be kept intact. Minister of Cooperation Shukla Charan Noatia said this as special guest at the opening ceremony of Brahmakunda Mela-2023 on the occasion of three-day Ashokashtami at Brahmakunda Cultural Stage yesterday. MDC of TTAADC Rabindra Debbarma inaugurated the fair.

Minister of Cooperation Shukla Charan Noatia said that the government sees all religions, cultures and various social cultures equally. Fairs and festivals of various communities are organized in the state under government initiative. The Minister of Cooperation also said that Brahmakunda is a traditional tourist area of ​​the state. The government has plans to develop this tourism sector in the future. He urged people from all walks of life in the area to peacefully enjoy the three-day fair.

Inaugurating the three-day Brahmakunda Mela, MDC Rabindra Debbarma urged to enjoy the Brahmakunda Mela fairly and peacefully. Chairman of Tripura Tea Development Corporation Santosh Saha and Chairman of Hezamara BAC Sunil Debbarma spoke as special guests on the occasion. Social worker Binod Debbarma also spoke on the occasion as special guest. The programme was presided over by MLA Brishaketu Debbarma. Chairman of Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Rina Debbarma was present. Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Ratan Biswas delivered the welcome address on the occasion. The opening music was performed by the artistes of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs. On the occasion of the three-day long Brahmakunda Mela, cultural programmes will be organized every evening. This programme was organized by the joint initiative of Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Administration and Brahmakunda Mela Committee.
