Thousands of devotees throng Ayodhya for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar at the Shri Ram Temple. The three-day Vedic rituals, coinciding with Ganga Dussehra, mark a spiritual milestone as Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman are consecrated amidst grand celebrations and tight security.

The spiritual fervour in Ayodhya has reached a new peak as thousands of devotees gather for the second consecutive day to witness the sacred Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of the Ram Darbar at the grand Shri Ram Temple. The three-day ritual, which began on June 3, will conclude on June 5, coinciding with Ganga Dussehra, an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar.

The ceremonial installation of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman on the first floor of the temple is being carried out following ancient Vedic rituals and traditions. The main sanctum (Garbhagriha) on the ground floor had earlier seen the installation of Shri Ram Lalla, which marked a historic spiritual milestone. Now, with the consecration of the Ram Darbar, the temple complex is witnessing an extension of divine presence.

Saint Mithilesh Nandani Sharan, a key spiritual leader associated with the ceremonies, highlighted the religious significance of the occasion. “After Shri Ram Lalla was enthroned in the sanctum, devotees eagerly awaited the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Darbar. This ceremony is being performed with utmost devotion and strict adherence to Vedic customs,” he said.

Alongside the Ram Darbar, six to eight additional shrines within the temple complex are also undergoing consecration. These include idols of revered Rishis, companions of Lord Ram such as Nishadraj and Mata Shabari, and the esteemed saint Swami Shri Tulsidas Ji Maharaj. “These sanctifications enrich the spiritual essence of the Ram Temple and reflect the living consciousness of the Ramayana,” added Sharan.

To ensure the safety of pilgrims and religious leaders, Ayodhya has been placed under high security. The Shri Ram Temple premises have been designated a red zone. Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) units, armoured vehicles, and a robust three-shift surveillance mechanism have been deployed across the city.

The ceremonies began with a grand religious procession from the sacred banks of the Saryu River on June 2, drawing massive crowds and setting the tone for the consecration rituals.

Saint Sharan also expressed deep gratitude toward the country’s leadership. “This historic resurgence of Ayodhya is made possible through the vision and dedication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Their efforts mark a defining chapter in the cultural and spiritual awakening of New India,” he remarked.
