In Telangana, Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued an yellow alert of intense spell of rain for about 11 districts of the state in the next three days and the authorities are gearing for another spell of heavy rain. Several districts, including Hyderabad, are expected to experience downpours along with thunderstorms, lightning and squalls till 25th of this month. Meanwhile, several areas in and around Hyderabad city received moderate rainfall of up to 58 mm last evening.

Meanwhile, significant rainfall recorded in the state as the ongoing southwest monsoon has brought  rainfall and the State recorded an average of 919 mm so far. It is a 31 percent increase over the normal 703.6 mm of rainfall. Hyderabad has also witnessed an above-average monsoon, recording 780.4 mm of rainfall, which is 36 percent deviation from its normal 575.5 mm.
