In Men’s Cricket, West Indies defeated Scotland by 35 runs in the second match of T20 World Cup at Eden Gardens, Kolkata tonight. Chasing the target of 183 runs set by West Indies, the Scotland were all out for 147 runs in 18.5 overs. Captain Richie Berrington scored 42 runs off 24 balls. For West Indies, Romario Shepherd took five wickets while Jason Holder got three wicket.
Put into bat first, West Indies posted 182 runs for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Shimron Hetmyer, scored 64 runs off 36 balls. For Scotland, Brad Currie took two wickets. In the opening match Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by 3 wickets at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo today.
