India defeat US in 3rd match of T20 World Cup at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

In Men’s cricket, India defeated United States by 29 runs in the third match of T20 World Cup at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai last night. Chasing a target of 162 runs set by India, United States managed to score 132 for 8 in stipulated 20 overs. For USA, Shubham Ranjane and Sanjay Krishnamurthi were the highest scorers contributing 37 runs each. For India, Mohammed Siraj took 3 wickets while Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel scalped 2 wickets each.
Earlier, United States won the toss and opted to bowl. Put into bat, India made 161 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav was the top scorer with an unbeaten 84 runs off 49 balls. Tilak Varma scored 25 while Ishan Kishan scored 20 runs. For USA, Shadley van Schalkwyk scalped 4 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged the Player of the Match. 
In another match, West Indies defeated Scotland by 35 runs at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata last night. Today, there are three fixtures. New Zealand will take on Afghanistan at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The match will start at 11.00 am. In another clash, England will face Nepal at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai at 03.00 pm, While Sri Lanka will be up against Ireland at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The match will start at 07.00 pm.
