A suspected Bangladesh thief died in mob lynching at Joynagar border area in West Tripura district last night
The deceased could not be identified till the last information came in.
The local people suspected that the thief was from Bangladesh; he was not known to anybody in the area.
According to sources, he was chased by the local people near Dhajanagar School. Police initiated a probe into the incident.
Meanwhile, five suspected cattle smugglers were lynched in a similar incident in Khowai district in the recent past.
