The trophy and certificate will be present to the police officer during the Tripura Police Week celebration on January 10 next. The event will be held at Manoranjan Debbarma Smriti Stadium, A.D. Nagar police line.
In the meantime, four senior police officers have been promoted to higher ranks with effect from January 1, this year.
While Saurav Tripathi has been promoted as Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), two DIGs- Soumitra Dhar and L. Darlong have been promoted as IG (TSR and Ops.) and IG (crime and intelligence).
The list of promotion also included Carey Marak; he has been promoted as DIG (Armed Police and Operations).
On the other hand, DIG (PHQ and Crime Branch) Princee Rani has been relieved from the charge of the Crime Branch.
