Tripura government and two outlawed militant organizations, NLFT and ATTF will sign Memorandums of Settlement (MoSs)on Wednesday. In the event, the Government of India, represented by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation  Amit Shah, will sign Memorandums of Settlement (MoSs) with the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF).

The signing ceremony, to be held in New Delhi, will also be attended by the Chief Minister  Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, and senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Tripura government.

This development marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to bring peace and prosperity to the Northeast region.  To date, during the NDA government rule in New Delhi 12 important agreements have been signed, of which 3 relate specifically to Tripura. As a result of these agreements, approximately 10,000 individuals have laid down their arms and embraced mainstream society.

The signing of the MoSs with NLFT and ATTF is expected to further strengthen the government’s commitment to peace and development in Tripura, said an official. It is hoped that these agreements will pave the way for a more peaceful and prosperous future for the state and its people.
