Sensex falls 372 points, Nifty slips below 24,000

Benchmark domestic equity indices ended almost half a per cent down today. The Sensex fell 372 points to close at 76 thousand and 728. The Nifty also dropped 110 points to settle at 23 thousand and 946. In the broader market on the National Stock Exchange, the Midcap 100 index shed nearly 0.4 per cent and the Smallcap 100 index declined over 0.6 per cent.
