Sensex Falls 174 Points, Nifty Down 58 as Markets End in Red; Broader Indices Also Decline

Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, closed in red. The Sensex lost 174 points to close at 82 thousand 327, while Nifty dipped 58 points to settle at 25 thousand 227. The broader market indices at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed in negative territory. The Mid-Cap index declined around 0.2 percent, and the Small-Cap index slipped over 0.4 per cent.
